Nothing exciting like waking upto a dream and a meal!
So this year,we finally woke up to our Lunch dream. We have always dreamt of having a lunch programme,which would inturn enable us to have afternoon sessions. For a long time since we started the skills center we always wished for this. We had to release girls to go home in the afternoon as we could not keep them hungry at the center. This was an act of faith,as we were not sure whether all of them were able to get lunch when they went back home. In Kibera slums,most people earn upto $2 dollars a day,this can’t actually sustain 3 meals a day and still keep up with the other bills. The lunch programme has saved our girls a great deal,they can now have their meals and continue with their training. We are very grateful to Kip and Jan for this kind of Support. It has had a great impact on our training and on the girls and also our staff. We can’t find the right words to express our gratitude but this is the biggest thing that has happened to us this year so far!
