Today we present to you our award winner of the Best Overall student in Cohort 4,Meet Diana Rakwach, a young girl in her early twenties with a unique and amazing personality. When Diana attended our Interviews the panel almost disqualified her for the fact that she was living in one of the posh estates. After listening to her story and an intense background search, we realized that, Diana had finished her high school education and lived in the village with her parents and siblings for quite a long time. After seeing no hope of ever joining college or university, she opted to come to Nairobi and live with a relative so she could try to find out opportunities such as this. A few months before she joined us, her Dad had lost his leg after he was amputated and her main motivation was to give her Dad a leg through her designs. She finally got the chance to join the Fashion Class 4th Cohort and she really worked hard. Unfortunately during her internship project, she lost her Dad the same day she was to do her final class project pitching and it was the saddest moment with her at the institution. She surprisingly pitched and cited that she was doing it for her Dad because that’s what he would have loved to see her do. Also despite this, Diana still managed to submit her written internship project while at the burial in the village. She later came to do her practical project after the burial. She has been a real warrior in her quest for the fashion skill. She has worked hard and even before her graduation, she was absorbed in to work for Miyo creations as an Intern. We recently released her to work with Star Tailored Designs, which is one of the greatest Fashion companies owned by one amazing young bright, hardworking lady, Brightstar Kasyoka Thank you so much Brightstar for considering our Diana, she will surely not disappoint. She left a mark at Miyo creations with her own Rakwach Top, we will treasure this design as it reminds us of a beautiful soul that we have released to greener pastures, a great lady that will one day surprise the world on behalf of, Passion To Share Foundation. Once again Congratulations Diana. We are very proud of you. Go grow and glow!
